Wool paintings are very textured. Silk and other fibers add contrast to the surface. I enjoy experimenting with the effects that different fibers create when added to the wool. I can provide additional photos of the art and the framing if you are interested. I have additional art available that is not in the gallery because it was framed and not photographed before the web site was created. Please contact me for pricing and additional photos. Note that I am represented by the Woodland Gallery, 195 E Main St., Stoughton, WI. Work that is at the Gallery is so noted.

Golden waves
fiber art

This is a wet felted piece of art measuring approximately 9×9 and framed in a beautiful grey stone appearing frame with a light gray mat. The fibers are merino wool and silk. Machine stitching adds additional depth and dimension. It was inspired by a photo taken on a hazy morning with sun filtering into the woods.

This dynamic image was inspired by a photo taken at Cave Point in Door County. It is wet filleted merino wool, silk, yarns, and silk hankies. The piece measures 19 x 25 and is framed to approximately 28 x 30. It is mounted on a textured gray mat in a brown frame.

This is a small wet felt piece measuring approximately 4×6 and mounted on an off white mat in an 8x 10 from. The fibers are merino and self with top stitching for added dimension.
